First city almost over.

So far so good.

So, it’s been a very very busy week.
I’ve been stressed out of my mind sometimes, and I’ve been having a lot of fun at times. My hostfamily has been great all along, coming home has been nothing but relaxing. It’s been a great support, and I really don’t want to leave this house tomorrow.

The arigatou evento went quite well. In the end, I needed to do a song, as a participant took on a little bit more than he could handle.
Not a big problem at the moment, as it was the “fish song”. I did like my predecessor who song it last year (Reto.-who also happened to be the only european staffmember on his tour), and put the lyrics behind a picture of a fish.
The opening MC was wonderful, with Rie and her oosaka-ben (dialect). She is a bomb of energy, and makes people smile just by talking. Every morning I can hear her a mile away as she shouts GOOOD MOOONING and jumps out of the hostfamily van, runs over to the closest person and tells them that she’s been missing them.

After the show I told her to “keep it up”, and after some practice, she managed to understand it’s meaning. “I am keeping it up!”.

The problem though, is that both she, myself and another soloist is leaving the tour early. We need replacements, and I’m not sure about how easy that will be. Worst case scenario, staff will take the spots though, so it’ll always work out.

A lot of the hostfamilies were really pleased, and I got a lot of heartwarming comments from especially the elderly japanese people. There was for example a old toy-maker who tought us how to make japanese old style toys, who showed up. This was our big thanks to him too, as we would like to thank everyone with this show, so it means a lot to me (especially this time) that they like it. He told me he loved it, and even shook my hand. In Japan, that’s not too common, so I take it is just what it is.-a reach out for a different culture, and proof that we do get along.
It’s great.

I’m sorry guys, but I don’t have any new good pictures this time around. I’m not taking too many pictures in general, and I haven’t had the time to even think about it the last few days.

Today is our second hostfamily day, and we got to sleep in. So I’m rested, and exighted about what we are going to do today. There were talk about sightseeing, and even maybe karaoke. (I’m not too sure on the last one, as Makiko-san hates karaoke, but they were mentioning it during conversations yesterday)
Afterswards we are visiting the italian restaurant Makiko-san works at, and meeting up with Amanda (an Indonesian girl) and her hostmother for dinner.
Amanda has the best accent, the best example is from a few days ago when she was talking about her “fisa”. It didn’t take me long to figure out that it was a “visa” that was the topic here, so it’s ofcourse nothing but fun.

Butbut, that’s probably long enough for now, eh?
Tomorrow it’s off for a new town, new family and new challenges.
I wouldn’t mind staying here for a few more days though. I hope my next family is nice too!

Thanks for reading, more updates will come, I promise!
